Things to do in West Bay

West Bay is Doha's skyline of towers, mostly seen from the outside: from the Corniche promenade opposite, from an evening dhow cruise on the bay, or from a hotel room. Inside the district itself there is little to walk to on foot, since blocks are large, pavements are inconsistent and the heat rules out strolling for most of the year.

What West Bay does offer is hotels across every price bracket, malls, offices and consulates, and the best view back over the water toward the city. It is not Doha's historic centre, which is Souq Waqif, around 15-20 minutes away by taxi or metro; West Bay's towers mostly date from the 2000s and 2010s.
