Things to do on the Corniche
The Corniche is Doha's curved waterfront promenade, facing the West Bay skyline across the bay, with the Museum of Islamic Art at its southern end and the traditional wooden dhows moored along the quay nearby.
It costs nothing to walk, and it works best in the late afternoon and evening, once the heat has dropped, or between roughly November and March, when a walk at midday is actually comfortable rather than punishing. The nearest Doha Metro stops sit close to the museum and the Souq Waqif end, a few minutes on foot from the water.
Cyclists, joggers and families share the same paved path, and benches face the skyline for anyone who just wants to sit. For an hour on the water rather than beside it, that is a separate booking, not something arranged on the spot.
