Things to do in Doha
Doha is the capital of Qatar, an independent state on the Arabian Peninsula and not part of the UAE, so it has no direct link to Dubai or Abu Dhabi beyond a short regional flight.
Most visits run three to four days: enough for the Corniche and West Bay skyline, an evening in Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Qatar, plus a half-day out to Katara or The Pearl.
The Doha Metro's Red, Green and Gold lines and Karwa taxis cover the city cheaply; a car is only needed for day trips beyond it. Summer, roughly May to September, is extremely hot and humid, so November to March suits outdoor sightseeing far better.
