Things to do at The Pearl-Qatar

The Pearl-Qatar is a man-made island of marinas, apartment towers and shopping streets roughly 20-25 minutes by road north of West Bay; there is no direct metro line, so most visitors arrive by taxi, ride-hailing app or hotel shuttle rather than the Doha Metro.

As a visitor, the point is to walk the marina promenades, browse the boutiques, and stop for a meal with the yachts as a backdrop, rather than to tick off a single sight. The most photographed corner is the Qanat Quartier, a strip of Venetian-style canals and colour-washed buildings near the Medina Centrale.

Restaurant terraces get busy in the evening, roughly from 6pm, when the heat has dropped and boat charters and dinner cruises leave from the marina.
