Things to do in Lusail

Lusail is not an old district: it is a purpose-built city on Doha's northern edge, largely completed in the run-up to the 2022 World Cup, and it still reads that way, with wide empty boulevards between finished towers.

Lusail Stadium, roughly 25-30 minutes by road or Lusail Tram from West Bay, hosted the 2022 final and is the main reason most visitors come; check ahead for match days or stadium tours, since there is little to see on a quiet afternoon.

The Marina and the boutiques and cafes of Place Vendome give the area a couple of hours of walking and eating. Most people fold Lusail into a half-day alongside West Bay rather than a full day on its own.
