- Qatar uses Type G & D sockets — the UK-style three-pin plug — at 240V / 50Hz.
- Qatar uses Type G sockets almost exclusively, the same three rectangular pins found in the UK, running at 240V/50Hz. Travellers from continental Europe, the US, and most of Asia will need an adapter, and North American visitors should also check their devices are dual-voltage (100–240V) before plugging in, since the local voltage is notably higher.
- Emergency services: dial 999 anywhere in Qatar for police, ambulance or fire. Heading out on a desert safari or a dhow cruise? It is still worth keeping your tour operator's contact number handy.
